We offer Fun, Fishing
and Safety to the experienced and inexperienced fisherman. I am the
local Supervisor for the Saltwater Field Testing Unit of Quantum/Zebco
for Rods, Reels, and Motor Guide trolling motors. I maintain several local
staff guides field-testing these products to insure you have quality equipment
for your trip. While fishing on my vessel you will be on a Baymaster 20
ft shallow draft boat powered by a 150 hp Johnson Motor.
If you or your company have a need for group charters, we have this association of quality captains to assure you of a great trip. We provide all tackle, baits, and ice needed for completion of your fishing excursion. The pre- dominate species we target include Redfish (red drum), Spotted Sea Trout (Speckled Trout), Southern Flounder, Black Drum and Snook. |

This year marks my tenth as a full-time flats guide on the lower Laguna Madre. I moved to the Rio Grande Valley in 1986, after completing a degree in aquatic biology at Southwest Texas State University. I've been an avid fisherman since early childhood and learned to fly fish at the local golf course, of all places, when I was twelve or thirteen. Besides flats fishing, I enjoy trout and steelhead fishing, and have fished most of the western states over the past twenty-five years or so. When I'm not fishing, I enjoy chasing upland birds with Lucy, my liver and white Brittany. | ||

I am Captain Mark Childress USCG licensed

aboard a 21' Shallow Sport/Super Sport with a 150 Yamaha TRP. I have been
fishing since since I was knee high and guiding local waters since
1994 and specialize in Trout, Redfish, Flounder and Snook. I love
to take kids of all ages out to catch fish they have never caught or even
seen before. Helping a angler to a personal best, or biggest fish they
have ever caught is a great thrill for me. There is something special about
being out there. Guiding is a job, but it isn't. Its a special gift to
be able to share with others the nature & beauty this area has to offer.
There is room for beginners or experts aboard my boat. I just love
fishing. No matter what we are after be it just bending rods for the kids,
or the avid angler for that special fish of a lifetime, its all good for
